After reading chapter 19 respond to the question: Why do you think Chief Custaleta and the Shaman want to help Mina? Do you think thier "Indian medicine" will help Papa?
Chief custaleta and the shaman will help Mina because Mina gave chief custaleta locks of her hair.i think the medicine will cure papa because they had already done it once

Vasquez There's really no way of telling if the "medicine" really worked or not because like Mina said in the story "maybe it was lissette's love toward him that cured him."
